Creating system object in EP 7.3
system object / system
system object contains the
connection properties of back end system like ECC/CRM/BW.
for this you need super admin role in Portal.
procedure:
Go to System admin > system land scape >
You can either Right Click on the folder and select New > system
or Click on New Button as shown.
and select SAP System using dedicated application server.
provide the system name and id and name space
enter a alias name
here you need to enter all these fields
Basis consultant will provide you these parameters.
Connector
Application Host: host name of back end
Gateway Host:
Gateway Service:
Logical System Name:
SAP Client:
SAP System ID (SID):
SAP System Number:
Server Port:
System Type: this is where the system object for differnet systems is defined
for connecting to ECC/R3 we use SAP R3
for CRM CRM
for BW BW
rest of the process is same for CRM or ECC or BW

Internet Transaction Server (ITS)
ITS Description: back end host name with its port number
ITS Host Name:
ITS Path:
ITS Protocol:
User Management
Logon Method: here u mention the logon method you are using like logon ticket/user id pwd
User Mapping Fields:
User Mapping Type:
Web Application Server (Web AS)
ICM Host Name: back end host name with its port number
ICM Protocol: http/https
ICM URL Prefix: give the path here
SAP NetWeaver AS Description: optional
After giving all the required fields click on finish.
and later you can test the connection to the system.
