Knowledge Management (KM) is used to gather both Structured and Unstructured information in File Repositories like LotusNotes, WEBDAV Server etc..
KM Stores the data in the form of files( .pdf, .bmp, .jpg, .doc, .txt  etc..) 

Knowledge Management comprises the following sub components:
1) Content Management (CM).
2) Search and Classification (TREX).
