we need to create only One system alias, if we are Implementing ESS and MSS.
But from EP7.3 , we need to create additional system alias apart from the Alias , which we create usually.
Below is the list of alias we need to create:

SAP_ECC_Financials,
SAP_ECC_HumanResources,
SAP_EREC_TalentManagement,
SAP_ITS_XSS,SAP_R3,
SAP_SEM,
SAP_WebDynpro_XSS,
